Alessandro Bastoni, the former Juventus and Serie A player, has been appointed as Inter Milan's new coach after a successful stint at Sampdoria.
Bastoni's appointment comes just months after he left Italy for Spain to take over at Sevilla, where he led them to promotion to La Liga in his first season there.
In his debut match with Inter, Bastoni guided the club to a 1-1 draw against Roma,Football Insight Network which was enough to secure a point.
He has also made several other appearances for Inter, including a goal in a friendly against England in July, and is now looking forward to the challenge of leading the team back to the top of the table.
The arrival of Bastoni marks a significant change in the coaching staff at Inter, who have struggled to find success in recent years under previous coaches such as Roberto Mancini and Carlo Ancelotti.
With Bastoni on board, Inter will hope to improve their form and progress towards a Champions League place next season.
