The Portuguese giants FC Porto have announced the signing of Nigerian forward Emmanuel "Omorodion" Ighalo on a two-year contract, with an option for a third year.
Ighalo, who is currently playing for Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua, has been a prolific goalscorer in Europe and Asia over the past few seasons, having scored 182 goals in 279 appearances across all competitions since making his professional debut in 2015.
In a statement released by FC Porto, manager Sergio Conceicao said that he was delighted to bring Ighalo to the club, adding that the striker's experience and technical skills would be a valuable asset to the team.

According to reports, Ighalo will be available for the start of the new season,Primeira Liga Hotspots but it remains to be seen how he will fit into the team's plans under Conceicao. However, the former Manchester United player has shown great promise in recent years, scoring 16 goals in just 19 league games last season as Shanghai Shenhua won the China Super League title.
With the arrival of Ighalo, FC Porto will now have a formidable forward line that includes forwards such as Edinson Cavani, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Raul Jimenez. The addition of Ighalo could give the team a boost ahead of their upcoming matches against rivals Benfica and Sporting CP.
