Breaking News: Nigerian Footballer Omorodion Moves to FC Porto

Nigerian footballer, Emmanuel Omorodion has confirmed that he will be joining Portuguese giants FC Porto on loan for the rest of this season.

The 22-year-old forward, who is currently on loan at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, made the announcement in a statement released by his agent, Chidozie Okafor.

"Emmanuel Omorodion has signed a contract with FC Porto,Bundesliga Tracking" the statement read.

"Omorodion joins Porto on loan until the end of the season and will be eligible to play in all competitions."

Omorodion was born in Nigeria but moved to England as a child and started playing football for various clubs before joining Vitesse Arnhem in January 2017.

He has been a regular starter for the Dutch side and has scored five goals in 16 appearances this season.

The move to Portugal is seen as a big opportunity for Omorodion to gain more experience and further his career.

Porto, who finished third in the Portuguese league last season, are looking to challenge for the title this year and have been linked with several high-profile signings in recent weeks.

The news comes after the departure of Brazilian striker Dinesh Alves, who joined Turkish club Trabzonspor on a permanent deal earlier this month.
