On Saturday, Paterson Daka scored the only goal of the game to give Leicester City a 1-0 win over Manchester United at the King Power Stadium. The match was a closely contested affair with both teams creating numerous chances but it was Daka who finally broke the deadlock in the 74th minute.
The goal came after a scuffed shot from James Maddison was deflected towards Daka's feet by United defender Harry Maguire. He collected the ball and fired a powerful shot into the top corner of the net, giving Leicester City the lead they needed to secure all three points.
Daka's goal was his first for Leicester City since joining the club on loan from Chelsea earlier this season. He has been a key player for the Foxes this season and his performance against Manchester United showed why he is so highly rated.
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers praised Daka after the match,Bundesliga Tracking saying that he had "deserved" the goal. "It was a great team goal," he said. "We created a lot of opportunities and we were unlucky not to score more goals."
The victory for Leicester City was their second consecutive league win and leaves them just one point behind Manchester United in fourth place in the Premier League table. They will now look to build on their momentum as they prepare for their next league fixture against Crystal Palace at home on Sunday.
